An early mention of AK as "AK-47"

The 1500 pts production order referring to Avtomat Kalashnikova as AK-47 (found on ru.wikipedia variant of the article)

I think the article should adress the origin of 47 number ("AK-47") at some point. 81.89.66.133 (talk) 08:25, 9 September 2025 (UTC)

I think the article should be renamed to Avtomat Kalashnikova.
The "AK-47" is a misnomer and the article should be named by the official designation of the firearm in question. The document cited is not just an early mention of the name, but pretty much the only mention in an official documentation, as "AK-47" is only the name of developmental prototype. Soviet Union never adopted the rifle named "AK-47". Artur Zinatullin (talk) 16:34, 23 September 2025 (UTC)

Add Malta as a user of the rifle.

I have already done this for the AKM (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=AKM&diff=prev&oldid=1326923643) ~2025-40077-87 (talk) 18:03, 11 December 2025 (UTC)

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want made. Day Creature (talk) 18:23, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
I literally did provide 1st hand source; the actual Armed Forces of Malta website (https://afm.gov.mt/ak-variant/).
How on Earth is this not a reliable source? ~2025-40077-87 (talk) 21:02, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
Done In future, please be sure to add references directly to your request; it's less digging that reviewers will need to do, and it will make it less likely that your request will be not done as above. - Umby 🌕🐶 (talk) 21:50, 11 December 2025 (UTC)

Please change "Syrian civil war (2011–present)" to "Syrian civil war (2011–2024)" in the list item under Conflicts\2010s to be in accordance with the Date information of the article titled "Syrian civil war". Sziléziai W (talk) 23:43, 6 January 2026 (UTC)

Someone change the "100 million" on the AK47-s produced.

"The National Interest" does not look like a reliable source. There are explicit ads all over. The other source says that around 75mil have been created, personally I'd change it to that CadNav (talk) 02:10, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

It's friggin junk!!! CadNav (talk) 19:56, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
First of all, unclear why you're having a conversation with yourself; but The National Interest is absolutely a reliable source. The existence of ads has no bearing on whether a source is reliable or not. SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 03:15, 5 February 2026 (UTC)
