misused term

The term "concentrated" says in effect that African-Americans are found in Wilmington in a higher percentage than anywhere else in Delaware. The provided source has no relevant information to support this statement (and is by the way redundant for the subsequent comment given the other sources in the topic). Southeastern United States

If you are gonna keep on adding Delaware as a state in the Southeastern United States, then you should be doing the same action to Maryland's page too. The truth is, majority of Americans would probably not associate Maryland and Delaware as a Southern state, rather solely a Mid-Atlantic state given its proximity to other fellow Mid-atlantic cities like NYC, DC, Baltimore and Philadelphia. As long as those two states are within the territories of even the Northeast Megalopolis, both states are 100% not Southeastern. Maybe you should do an eye check, because if the Mason-Dixon Line defines the South's separation from the North, then Delaware is a northern state and should not even be close to having any affinity with the South(east). 2404:E801:2003:2EB1:38D0:D9AB:9A78:3B09 (talk) 13:30, 19 October 2024 (UTC)

The US Census lists Delaware as part of the Southern region. Most of Delaware is south of the Mason-Dixon line that forms most of the southern border of Pennsylvania. Delaware was once a slave-holding state. Stop with the WP:WHATABOUTX arguments. If either article needs to be fixed, it would then be the Maryland article.

Proposed merge of List of counties in Delaware into Delaware

As the state only has three counties to begin with, do they even need to be on a list at all for any other reason than "the other 49 states do"? I thought there was a policy saying that lists have to have at least five items on them, but I can't find it at the moment. Suggest a merge of content to Delaware#Counties. Oppose Delaware does only have three counties, but they are discussed quite frequently as a group, so it passes WP:NLIST on its own. I don't really see a clean way this can be merged into Delaware, which is already a long article. Neutral Delaware does only have three counties; they could probably be fitted in with extra work on it. But like the previous messages, it is pretty notable, and people might have trouble understand how to attempt mixing the counties of Delaware page in the article itself. While it is a really short list, it still deserves a list, like all the other states do. 🍋 🍋(talk!) 22:13, 5 September 2025 (UTC)

Slight Support, While the state's page is rather bulky, if incorporated without any trimming, List of counties of Delaware would only add 500 more words to the article, which is rather minor. I do believe the opposition, particularly LemonJuiceIsSour's and Casablanca Rock's arguments, is a valid viewpoint. I would be rather tentative about considering Accordthemusician's comments as they seem to fall under WP:OSE. ✶Quxyz✶ (talk) 02:18, 3 October 2025 (UTC)
