This page isn't completely translated... The corresponding German article is the best, but some of its syntax is so garbled I can't even untangle it. Also, a good portion of the German article is written in Platdüütsch, which I really can't translate. However, the Plardüütsch section is a likely copyvio from his autobiographny, so I don't know how to handle it. If someone wants to take it on, feel free. RyanGerbil10 04:21, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Mr. Tarnow's portrait
The portrait in this article is a cropped version of the original with the artist's signature removed. That signature is Mr. Tarnow's. He died in 1933. Copyright protection expired, at the latest, in 2023. This image was carried by the German Wikipedia article on this author. It was added here in 2006, when it was still covered by copyright. German Wikipedia removed it in 2013, when it was also still covered by copyright. However, it is now eligible to be ported over to Commons, as far as I can tell Oona Wikiwalker (talk) 15:34, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
