Voice cast section

One of the things I might be concerned about is how we should format the voice cast section. Currently, it lists every cast member in bullet points. Based on some GA and FA film-related articles (i.e. RoboCop, The Empire Strikes Back, Back to the Future, etc.), some of the cast sections list the top-billing members in bullet points, with the rest of the cast being listed in prose.

In this case, the film's end credits list Hanks, Allen, Cusack, Rickles, Shawn, Ratzenberger, Harris, Beatty, Keaton, Benson and Morris. After that, there's the longer scrolling cast list which lists everyone. I'm thinking about listing the eleven in bullet points, then move the miscellaneous cast members into the prose. Thoughts? No discussion is taking place, so I boldly reformatted the cast section. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 18:59, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

Plot discussion

So, I have been thinking about some issues in the plot section we might need to address here. I've also notified WT:FILM and WT:DISNEY for their thoughts.

For example, is Andy's age in this section's opening sentence relevant to be included in the summary (and if not, should it be removed)? Also, "Andy's toys realize their mistake and attempt to leave, but are imprisoned by Buzz, who now believes Lotso is his commander" and "Woody leaves a note for Andy, who assumes the note is from his mother and donates the toys to Bonnie" could be changed to "Andy's toys realize their mistake and attempt to leave, but are imprisoned by Buzz on Lotso's order" and "Andy discovers a note from Woody and, assuming it is from his mother, donates the toys to Bonnie", respectively.

If there are any other issues or suggestions on how to improve the plot while keeping it concise, please feel free to discuss them here. Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 16:01, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

Change "In Toy Story 3, Andy Davis, now a teenager, is going to college. Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the other toys are accidentally donated to the Sunnyside Daycare center by Andy's mother,"

to

" In Toy Story 3, Andy Davis, now a teenager, is going to college. Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the other toys are accidentally thrown out and end up in the Sunnyside Daycare center by Andy's mother," 2001:4060:C011:20F0:8C6:17DD:2385:C2B2 (talk) 17:10, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

Not done: No reason given for the proposed change, and your suggested text is not grammatically correct. Day Creature (talk) 00:54, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

Article revision

I feel like this article needs to be revised. I wish I could revise it, but I can't because it's semi-protected. But, here's what I'll propose to this article.

There has to be a themes section. Toy Story 3 has themes of growing up and loss.

There has to also be a section on the film's animation, because there's a lot more detail on the film's animation that isn't there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBZ7KfiK1xQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tl-LoX2yKVE

Other than that, I don't think I can propose any other possible changes to this article, unless anyone has any ideas. That's all I have to say. 75.132.46.89 (talk) 22:41, 12 September 2025 (UTC)

Change 'as did Quentin Tarantino until 2020 where the latter ranked fellow 2010 film The Social Network as the best film of the 2010s.' either to 'as did Quintin Tarantino', or 'as did Quentin Tarantino until 2020 where the latter ranked fellow 2010 film The Social Network as the best film of the 2010s, but then later in 2025 called Toy Story 3 the 2nd greatest movie of the 21st century, yet again ranking above The Social Network.' ~2025-32261-52 (talk) 06:59, 23 December 2025 (UTC)

Partly done: I removed the material about Tarantino entirely, as I don't see why it's necessary for the article to discuss how his film rankings have changed over the years or to include a picture of him. Day Creature (talk) 14:02, 23 December 2025 (UTC)
