Hello, Alexthegod5, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Battle of Ujala, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

Speedy deletion nomination of Battle of Ujala

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Battle of Ujala requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Gavin.perch (talk) 00:20, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Alexei (Trader)

Is there a reason why you added the "Trader" disambiguator to the article's title? Wouldn't "bishop" be more appropriate? CycloneYoris talk! 08:42, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

"Trader" was his layman name, and the article's just following standard naming conventions i.e. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Eastern_Orthodox_bishops_in_the_United_States_and_Canada Alexthegod5 (talk) 12:00, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

Wagri

Thank you for your interest in improving Wikipedia. However please read our policy WP:NOR and do not write into Wikipedia more than written in the cited sources. --Altenmann >talk 20:52, 10 January 2025 (UTC)

@AltenmannHi Altenmann - I'm new to editing wikipedia so I'm here for critiques. I was taking some of that information based off the Russian wikipedia article for that page, however the sources they use are all books that I do not have access to. Just let me know what to best do in the future! Alexthegod5 (talk) 21:35, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
Please keep in mind that you cannot simply copy info from Wikipedias in other languages. Many of them have less strict requirements about providing references. In my experience only German Wikipedia is trustworthy enough overall. It is your responsibility to verify information yourself, and if the sources are not available to you, then better post a message in article talk page and do not add the info to the article. In recent years English Wikipedia has become too powerful in terms of information, and if one is not careful enough, then misinformation is quickly spread and it may even lead to an ugly phenomenon of "citogenesis". --Altenmann >talk 21:43, 10 January 2025 (UTC)

Orthodox

Is https://orthodoxwiki.org/Main_Page a useful source of information, and perhaps a better place than Wikipedia for your list project? David notMD (talk) 12:47, 30 January 2025 (UTC)

@David notMDI've used that site before - that may be better idea. Thanks! Alexthegod5 (talk) 22:35, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
It can be an External link for any Wikipedia article that touches on the Orthodox Chuch in the Americas. David notMD (talk) 04:10, 31 January 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: sandbox (February 4)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by Bobby Cohn were:
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of events). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
An infobox does not an article make. At least write something and cite sources that show the event is notable.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

WikiProject Christianity

I was wondering if you are still interested in WikiProject Christianity. Please respond to this within a week if you are still interested in helping out. If you do not respond within a week you will be classified as inactive on the WikiProject member list. Sheriff U3 | Talk | Con 07:59, 25 February 2025 (UTC)

@Sheriff U3 Hi Sherrif, I am interested. I am a bit confused since since joining I have been creating and editing articles on wikipedia that fall within the Christianity WikiProject, but let me know what else I can do to help. Alexthegod5 (talk) 16:03, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
Ok what are you confused about? I am currently trying to revive the project and get some of the services running again. I have made a post on the projects planning page with some jobs that people can start work on. Sheriff U3 | Talk | Con 13:14, 26 February 2025 (UTC)

Featuring your work on Wikipedia's front page: DYKs

Thank you for your recent articles, including Janina Buchholtz-Bukolska, which I read with interest. When you create an extensive and well referenced article, you may want to have it featured on Wikipedia's main page in the Did You Know section. Articles included there will be read by thousands of our viewers. To do so, add your article to the list by clicking the big blue button at WP:DYKNOM. Alternatively you can use the following user script: User:SD0001/DYK-helper. Which can be activated with one click after turning automatic script intallation in your Preferences->Gadgets (check the "Install scripts without having to manually edit JavaScript files" option and save page; then visit the DYK-helper page and click install; then go to your new article and you'll find the new DYK menu). Let me know if you need help, Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:29, 20 March 2025 (UTC)

@Piotrus Thank you Piotrus! Currently it says it's a few characters too short (needs about 1500), so I was wondering if I could grab your help with it. There's a few sources out there, specifically books, that may be available that I don't have access to. If you are able to find them or assist with the article that'd be great! I'm honestly really honored that you like that article so much, I've only recently started writing wikipedia pages so a DYK would be a nice thing to be able to check off :) Alexthegod5 (talk) 02:38, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
I'd suggest translating more content from pl wiki article - much of it appears to be referenced and could be added here. Getting it to 1500 characters shouldn't be hard. I am afraid right now I am too busy to expand it much myself, however. But you are almost at DYK-level, so I hope you can push it to the finish line, so many people can read it (a DYK will be on the Main Page for a few hours, meaning it will get exposure equal to a year or two otherwise...). Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:18, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
@Piotrus That is totally understandable. I'll see what I can do in my free time, I think there's a book that mentions her at my old university I may be able to pick up at some point. Thank you again! Alexthegod5 (talk) 14:30, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
Sure. I've added a reliable source that may have some more details (YV). (Also, if you would write more similar articles, I think it is best practice to link to the subject's YV pages). Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:08, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
@Piotrus Thank you again - honestly I feel a little embarrassed that I didn't even think about checking the YV pages haha Alexthegod5 (talk) 04:58, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
No worries. YV pages are not the best, actually (they have occasional errors, and are rather narrowly focused), but they are internationally famous, and some I've seen some folks complain about Polish sources - so it's good to have a YV link for a Righteous bio. Speedy deletion nomination of Ottoman Yoke

Hello Alexthegod5,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ottoman Yoke for deletion, because it's a redirect that seems implausible or is an unlikely search term.

If you don't want Ottoman Yoke to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
