Hello mate, trust this meets you well.
I would like to request review of the deletion of Joshua Oyeniyi. The subject meets WP:GNG as there are multiple independent, reliable sources that provide significant coverage of him. Since the deletion, I have found additional reliable sources that were not considered in the AfD discussion, which includes Newspaper article with in-depth profile/interview. These demonstrate that the subject has received significant coverage in reliable independent publications. I therefore request undeletion so the article can be improved with these sources.Gracia04 (talk) 14:43, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
There was a discussion in July which determined that there does not exist sufficient coverage in independent reliable sources to establish the notability of this subject: see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Joshua Oyeniyi. The article was previously undeleted, and the creator of the article did not provide any additional sourcing. Because of this, I am not inclined to undelete this article a second time. After a motion, arbitration enforcement page protections no longer need to be logged in the AELOG. A bot now automatically posts protections at WP:AELOG/P. To facilitate this bot, protection summaries must include a link to the relevant CT page (e.g. [[WP:CT/BLP]]), and you will receive talk page reminders if you forget to specify the contentious topic but otherwise indicate it is an AE action.
Temporary accounts will not be retroactively applied to contributions made before the deployment. On Special:Contributions, you will be able to see existing IP user contributions, but not new contributions made by temporary accounts on that IP address. Instead, you should use Special:IPContributions for this.
RoySmith told me about the page; from my experience using TA @ kowiki, I can tell you when TA is around, IP's Special:Contribs page will also include new tab to switch over to IPContribs. Just a quality of life stuff, though. Can't prepare you screenshots because mobile:-P —regards, Revi 20:51, 11 October 2025 (UTC)

Some time ago I tagged this entry for revdel due to copyright infringement. You declined on the basis that the copyvio had been in the entry for a long time and I had already removed the offending material. I've just discovered another on the same page (by the same user), introduced in this diff from this source. I'm assuming that the same logic applies here... however something really should be said, it seems to me, to @Nihil novi: about the rules concerning copyright. -- SashiRolls 🌿 · 🍥 16:37, 26 October 2025 (UTC)

Guide to temporary accounts
Hello, Mz7. This message is being sent to remind you of significant upcoming changes regarding logged-out editing.
Starting 4 November, logged-out editors will no longer have their IP address publicly displayed. Instead, they will have a temporary account (TA) associated with their edits. Users with some extended rights like administrators and CheckUsers, as well as users with the temporary account IP viewer (TAIV) user right will still be able to reveal temporary users' IP addresses and all contributions made by temporary accounts from a specific IP address or range.
How do temporary accounts work?
Editing from a temporary account
When a logged-out user completes an edit or a logged action for the first time, a cookie will be set in this user's browser and a temporary account tied with this cookie will be automatically created for them. This account's name will follow the pattern: ~2025-12345-67 (a tilde, year of creation, a number split into units of 5).
All subsequent actions by the temporary account user will be attributed to this username. The cookie will expire 90 days after its creation. As long as it exists, all edits made from this device will be attributed to this temporary account. It will be the same account even if the IP address changes, unless the user clears their cookies or uses a different device or web browser.
A record of the IP address used at the time of each edit will be stored for 90 days after the edit. Users with the temporary account IP viewer (TAIV) user right will be able to see the underlying IP addresses.
As a measure against vandalism, there are two limitations on the creation of temporary accounts:
There has to be a minimum of 10 minutes between subsequent temporary account creations from the same IP (or /64 range in case of IPv6).
There can be a maximum of 6 temporary accounts created from an IP (or /64 range) within a period of 24 hours.
Temporary account IP viewer user right
How to enable IP Reveal
Administrators may grant the temporary account IP viewer (TAIV) user right to non-administrators who meet the criteria for granting. Importantly, an editor must make an explicit request for the permission (e.g. at WP:PERM/TAIV)—administrators are not permitted to assign the right without a request.
Administrators will automatically be able to see temporary account IP information once they have accepted the Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy via Special:Preferences or via the onboarding dialog which comes up after temporary accounts are deployed.
Impact for administrators
It will be possible to block many abusers by just blocking their temporary accounts. A blocked person won't be able to create new temporary accounts quickly if the admin selects the autoblock option.
It will still be possible to block an IP address or IP range.
Temporary accounts will not be retroactively applied to contributions made before the deployment. On Special:Contributions, you will be able to see existing IP user contributions, but not new contributions made by temporary accounts on that IP address. Instead, you should use Special:IPContributions for this (see a video about IPContributions in a gallery below).
Rules about IP information disclosure
Publicizing an IP address gained through TAIV access is generally not allowed (e.g. ~2025-12345-67 previously edited as 192.0.2.1 or ~2025-12345-67's IP address is 192.0.2.1).
Publicly linking a TA to another TA is allowed if "reasonably believed to be necessary". (e.g. ~2025-12345-67 and ~2025-12345-68 are likely the same person, so I am counting their reverts together toward 3RR, but not Hey ~2025-12345-68, you did some good editing as ~2025-12345-67)
Cancer pain has been nominated for a good article reassessment. If you are interested in the discussion, please participate by adding your comments to the reassessment page. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status may be removed from the article. Z1720 (talk) 00:37, 3 November 2025 (UTC)

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:34, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
The process will have a seven day call for candidates phase, a two day pause, a five day discussion phase, and a seven day private vote using SecurePoll. Discussion and questions are only allowed on the candidate pages during the discussion phase.
The outcome of this process is identical to making a request for adminship. There is no official difference between an administrator appointed through RFA versus administrator elections.
Ask any questions about the process at the talk page. Later, a user talk message will be sent to official candidates with additional information about the process.
If you are interested in the process, please make sure to watchlist the appropriate pages. A watchlist notice will be added when the discussion phase opens, and again when the voting phase opens.

Clean start?
Copied section from User talk:OakleyCK at this time stamp (due to the editor deleting it from their talk page, which they have the right to do, in order to continue the conversation with Mz7 here)
Hello OakleyCK. By any chance, are you Marino13 (talk · contribs)? Please be aware that while Wikipedia allows you to leave and then come back under a new account, it is generally expected that you avoid editing in areas that you used to edit with your old account to avoid the impression that you are trying to evade scrutiny or mislead people into thinking you are multiple people. See WP:CLEANSTART for more information. If you are Marino13, I recommend disclosing that now or avoiding editing in areas that Marino13 used to edit. Thanks, Mz7 (talk) 08:11, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
No I'm not Marino13. I'm just a new user who edits on and off and is not active on a consistent basis. It is possible that my edits on hockey pages give the impression I'm that user, but I can assure you that is not the case. However, I will abide and follow any of the guidelines about Wikipedia and its policies to ensure each edit is done with proper care.OakleyCK (talk) 21:10, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
You are clearly not a new editor, considering this edit summary. Mz7, I have no idea if they're Marino13, but they're obviously some previous editor, because an edit summary of "Remember what you told me, YOU don't own the article. The same applies to you as it does everyone else" doesn't make any sense for an article they've never edited before. No idea to whom they're even attempting to converse with there. SilverserenC 03:58, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
Silverseren, where do you get these ridiculous ideas that I'm this Marino13? I don't have time to deal with this, I'm just trying to edit. There's no rule that says I can't leave comments on edit summaries. Also, it would be nice if you remind Sundayclose not to fixate on the Aubrey Plaza article because they seemed to have been edit warring there over a ridiculous statement about how to display the actress' age; speaking of ownership of articles. OakleyCK (talk) 06:24, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
As I said in my prior comment there (now here), I do think this is an issue that may need to be raised. Not sure if it's at the level of ANI yet, but it is a concern. I see you haven't edited since yesterday, so prior to my continuation of the conversation there. So I'll wait until you're back online. Cheers! SilverserenC 23:01, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
As an additional aside, I didn't respond to OakleyCK's reply because it seems a non-sequitur to what I said? I have no idea what's going on in the Aubrey Plaza article or what that has to do with the diff I brought up about Cracker Barrel. SilverserenC 23:01, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
@Silver seren: I think my position on this is the same as it was in July: namely, it is possible that this user is some previous editor, but without smoking-gun evidence that they are evading some kind of block or sanction, I don't think we can block for that alone. Our policies allow editors to abandon old accounts and come back under new ones (WP:CLEANSTART), and they aren't required to disclose previous accounts as long as the previous accounts were in good standing in terms of blocks, bans, or other sanctions. In terms of their edit summary on the Cracker Barrel article, maybe it's referring to Wikipedia editors generally? Sort of like some kind of preemptive reminder of WP:OWN to editors that might revert per an WP:OWN reason? Not sure. In any case, I'm not sure there's anything I can do here at this particular moment. Mz7 (talk) 02:59, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
Contacting you as the last admin to block at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/SaintDismas. Russianabout is advancing the same kind of edits. The competency appears lower, although I expect it is probably the same group. Do you think I should I file at SPI under SaintDismas, leave it alone, or do some third thing? Russ Woodroofe (talk) 22:16, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
Meh, they came back around, so I reported at SPI. I'm not sure that's the right place to report, but it should get it some attention from someone with the admin tools. Thanks for all you do! Russ Woodroofe (talk) 20:05, 2 December 2025 (UTC)
Hi, Russ Woodroofe, sorry for the delay in responding – I've been a little busy IRL. Looks like Izno took care of your SPI case. Thanks for reporting it. Mz7 (talk) 09:51, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
Administrator Elections - Discussion Phase
The discussion phase of the December 2025 administrator elections is officially open. As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:
On December 9, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's totals during the election. You must be extended confirmed to vote.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which typically lasts between a couple days and a week. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the results page (you may want to watchlist this page) and transcluded to the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate who has not been recalled must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose), and must also have received a minimum of 20 support votes. A candidate that has been recalled must have at least 55.0% support. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").
Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

Starting on November 4, the IP addresses of logged-out editors are no longer being publicly displayed. Instead, they will have a temporary account associated with their edits.
Administrators will now find that Special:MergeHistory is now significantly more flexible about what it can merge. It can now merge sections taken from the middle of the history of the source (rather than only the start) and insert revisions anywhere in the history of the destination page (rather than only the start). T382958
An Articles for Creation backlog drive is happening in December 2025, with over 1,000 drafts awaiting review from the past two months. In addition to AfC participants, all administrators and new page patrollers can help review using the Yet Another AFC Helper Script, which can be enabled in the Gadgets settings. Sign up here to participate!

You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's vote total during the election. The suffrage requirements are similar to those at RFA.
