Bácovice is a municipality and village in Pelhřimov District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 90 inhabitants. It is to the northwest of the Czech Republic, 6 km from Pelhřimov and 2 km from Červená Řečice.

History

The first mention of Bácovice was in 1379, but in the late 13th century and the 14th century, Bácovice was already connected with Červená Řečice.

In 1379, 25 settled peasants lived in the village of Bácovice.

At the end of the 16th century, Bácovice became a serf town. It was harsh and difficult for the serfs. During the Hussite Wars, Bácovice was destroyed and only 9 people lived in the village in the 17th century. However, there were still eight grunts.

During the 19th century, Bácovice was growing again with more cottages and estates, and reached its peak in 1921. After 1921, the population decreased until 2001.

In the 1970s, Bácovice got annexed into Červená Řečica until an application was made so Bácovice becomes an independent municipality in 2002. The application was approved. [2]

Associations and Culture

Bácovice has a sports field for tennis, volleyball, football and more. Bácovice also has a fire brigade and a club for different activities, which is usually men against women. [3]

Politics

As of now, Václav Páral is the mayor of Bácovice, with his deputy mayor, which is David Krupička. [6] There is also a control committee and a finance committee. [7]

Economy

According to the 2026 draft budget, a total of 2 million koruna will be earned from the personal income tax, corporate income tax, value added tax, dog fee, waste fee, real estate tax, land rentals, transfers, and service tax, and all 2 million koruna is planned to be used in the future. [8]
