History

2014–2016: Early Beginnings and Official Formation

Dreamverse began in 2014 with small, experimental projects centered on creative storytelling and games. In 2016, Dreamverse was officially established as an independent studio as Dreamverse Entertainment, LLC.

2017–2019: Game Development and Expansion

In 2017, Dreamverse released its debut game, Ouroboros: Prelude[1]. This psychological horror game, available on Steam, featured procedural generation, non-linear storytelling, and an original soundtrack, showcasing the studio's focus on experimental game design.[2] Ouroboros: Prelude was ranked in the 67th percentile of games on Steam.[3] In 2019, Dreamverse expanded its gaming portfolio with Colorvore, a retro-inspired arcade game, and CLIMB OUT!, a procedurally generated platformer, both with global leaderboards, which placed in the 72nd and 64th percentile of games of that year (respectively). During this period, the studio also ventured into literature with the serial web novel Paradise and The Collected Poetic Works of Alvis G. Intelisano, Volume 1.

2020–2021: Diversification and Challenges

In 2020, Dreamverse diversified into film with Ruins of Man, an experimental documentary-style project in collaboration with Uncustomary Studios[4]. The studio also announced a large platformer project for a client under NDA. However, due to challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, many projects were slowed in production or put on indefinite hiatus.

2022–Present: Recovery and Multimedia Growth

Despite lingering challenges from the pandemic, Dreamverse resumed content creation in 2022, releasing Silence - A Fable, a short audiobook of Edgar Allan Poe's work of the same name. Dreamverse expanded its music portfolio, publishing A Rainy Night in Synth City by ASMR Studios and tracks by the metal band ANTHYMNICA: Dark Star’s Glow, The Greatest of Weapons, and The Iron Sleigh, all available on major streaming platforms.
