The Wedding Party 2: Destination Dubai is a 2017 Nigerian romantic comedy drama film directed by Niyi Akinmolayan.[2][3] It is a sequel to The Wedding Party, which was released in December 2016.[4] Principal photography for the film, which was shot in Lagos and Dubai, began in May 2017.[5] It is currently the fourth highest grossing Nigerian film of all time.[6]
Plot
Dozie's elder brother, Nonso, has continued his romance with Deirdre, Dunni's bridesmaid. Nonso takes Deirdre on a date in Dubai and proposes marriage by accident. After a disastrous traditional engagement ceremony in Lagos, Nonso's family and Deadre's aristocratic British family reluctantly agree to a wedding in Dubai.

Production
The production cost is N300 million, excluding publicity, says producer.
It was released on December 15, 2017, has raked in over N500 million within the six weeks of its release in cinemas, making it the highest-grossing Nollywood film ever, in such a short time of release.[7]
