On 17 October 2022, NBCUniversal that Universal+, would be launched in France, and stated that Universal+ uses the same content and platform that is used on the US streaming service Peacock, presenting it as a French version of Peacock. The service was launched on November 17, 2022.[9][10][11][12]

On 5 October 2025, Universal+ started to air the French broadcast of Hayu original, The Real Housewives of London.[13]
