Indonesian J-10CE confirmation
Several recent news sources (circa October 2025) indicate confirmation or a firm plan by the Indonesian government (through the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Finance) to purchase 42 J-10C/J-10CE fighter jets from China, with an estimated budget of over US$9 billion. Official Statements: The Ministers of Defense and Finance are said to have confirmed this purchase plan. Strategy Shift: This deal is seen as the first major step in the procurement of a major weapons system from a non-Western country in significant quantities, marking the diversification of assets and the modernization of the Indonesian military. In short, the J-10CE was chosen because it is considered capable of offering an optimal combination of advanced technological capabilities (Generation 4.5), competitive prices, and the strategic benefits of diversifying defense equipment sources for Indonesia. https://mistar.id/news/nasional/indonesia-resmi-beli-42-jet-tempur-j10c-dari-china-tanda-perubahan-arah-strategis (https://www.detik.com/jateng/bisnis/d-8164951/menkeu-purbaya-setujui-anggaran-beli-jet-tempur-china-j-10-rp-148-t#:~:text=Menkeu%20Purbaya%20Setujui%20Anggaran%20Beli,J%2D10%20Rp%20148%20T) Presiden revanisme (talk) 14:59, 25 October 2025 (UTC)

Presiden revanisme (talk) 15:00, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- @Presiden revanisme: Military aircraft acquisition usually follows several steps: starting with defining operational needs and preparing an acquisition plan, followed by engaging with suppliers, securing budget approval, obtaining export and political clearances, and finally signing a purchase contract before production and delivery. Only after the contract is signed can the purchase be considered a confirmed order.
- In Indonesia's J-10C case, the plan and budget have been approved and publicly confirmed, but no contract signing or delivery has been reported yet. Therefore, it remains in the pre-contract stage, and the aircraft should only be listed in an inventory table once the order is confirmed or, if that information is not available, after the aircraft are delivered. This approach ensures accuracy and is consistent with other aircraft inventory tables in air force articles. Ckfasdf (talk) 20:38, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- Note that, three other editors (Morkyies23, Jauhsekali and A.C.O.M.S-2023) have also opposed adding the J-10C to the table for the same reason. Ckfasdf (talk) 20:53, 25 October 2025 (UTC)

Hey @Ckfasdf bro, What are the things needed to be added and to be corrected on my recently created page on Nusantara Lima satellite. Also i am in planning to make another one for Merah Putih-2 satellites. Abdullah1099 (talk) 09:38, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- The article is currently centered on the launch, so it would benefit from more content about the satellite itself. Expanding sections on background, mission objectives, and technical specifications would make it more complete and balanced. There are sources available to expand these additions, although most of them are in Indonesian, which may be a challenge for non-Indonesian speakers. Ckfasdf (talk) 12:58, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, I will use them Abdullah1099 (talk) 13:36, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
Deletion of The Independent School of Jakarta
Hello Ckfasdf,
I’m writing to ask about the deletion of The Independent School of Jakarta, which was removed as appearing promotional. I now recognise that some of the language I used was subjective and understand why it triggered that tag.
First of all, I want to apologise — I’m not a frequent Wikipedia editor, and I certainly didn’t intend to waste anyone’s time. I appreciate the work that reviewers and editors like you do. I can see that parts of the article’s tone could have read like marketing, which I am willing to correct if you agree the topic itself is notable enough to merit inclusion.
I believe the school now meets the notability requirements for educational institutions because it has received substantial independent media coverage in connection with a national scholarship for Indonesian students named in honour of Ki Hajar Dewantara. I have located 11 separate articles (plus one print feature) in different publications reporting on this initiative (I've listed these at User:Rsasubs/ISJ sources). I was intending to suggest a line under the Ki Hajar Dewantara#Tribute after creating the school article.
I had mistakenly not declared my conflict of interest which has now been rectified on my user page (see User:Rsasubs#Conflict_of_interest_disclosure) and now understand that I should have approached the editing differently because of that. I apologise again for any inconvenience caused and would appreciate your advice on next steps.
For example, would you be open to restoring the deleted article into my userspace (for example, User:Rsasubs/ISJ) so that I can rework it in a neutral tone and add the independent sources? Of course if you think another approach is more suitable I’m happy to follow your guidance.
Thank you very much for your time and help. Rsasubs (talk) 12:25, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Rsasubs: Thanks for your message. Just to clarify, I'm not an administrator, so I can't restore deleted pages. You'll need to contact the admin who deleted the article to request restoration to your userspace.
- Also, since you've acknowledged a conflict of interest with the Independent School of Jakarta, you should avoid editing the article directly. As WP:COI notes,
COI editing is strongly discouraged
. You may instead submit a draft through Articles for Creation. Ckfasdf (talk) 12:47, 14 November 2025 (UTC)

Your use of rollback
Hi Ckfasdf! Happy Friday! I ran into this edit to House of Representatives (Indonesia) that you reverted just moments ago. Why did you use rollback on this edit? I'm just curious more than anything. FYI - this edit was made shortly after the revert. Please let me know. :-) Best - ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 17:37, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for the note. The previous edit reintroduced italics instead of using
{{lang}}, which is the format recommended by the guideline per MOS:LANG. I don’t have any issue with the IPA; I should have just used a manual revert. Sorry about that. Ckfasdf (talk) 20:48, 14 November 2025 (UTC)- No need to apologize! I was just checking in with you about it. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 21:45, 14 November 2025 (UTC)

Hi Ckfasdf! I’m writing to ask about the Liputan 6 Moji is bad article ?
Roseangelina (talk) 14:22, 15 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Roseangelina: It’s not about the article being bad. "Bad article" is not really a reason for deletion anyway. The issue is that it’s an unnecessary content fork. Information about Liputan 6 Moji can simply be included in the main Liputan 6 article. Ckfasdf (talk) 14:41, 15 November 2025 (UTC)
Temporary account IP viewer granted

Hello, Ckfasdf. Per your request, your account has been granted temporary-account-viewer rights. You are now able to reveal the IP addresses of individuals using temporary accounts that are not visible to the general public. This is very sensitive information that is only to be used to aid in anti-abuse workflows. Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Temporary account IP viewer for more information on this user right. It is important to remember:
- You must not share IP address data with someone who does not have the same access permissions unless disclosure is permissible as per guidelines listed at Foundation:Policy:Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy.
- Access must not be used for political control, to apply pressure on editors, or as a threat against another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to investigate a temporary user. Note that using multiple temporary accounts is not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of policies (for example, block or ban evasion).
It is also important to note that the following actions are logged for others to see:
- When a user accepts the preference that enables or disables IP reveal for their account.
- Revealing an IP address of a temporary account.
- Listing the temporary accounts that are associated with one or more IP addresses (using the CIDR notation format).
Remember, even if a user is violating policy, avoid revealing personal information if possible. Use temporary account usernames rather than disclosing IP addresses directly, or give information such as same network/not same network or similar. If you do not want the user right anymore then please ask me or another administrator and it will be removed for you. You may also voluntarily give up access at any time by visiting Special:Preferences. Happy editing! Sohom (talk) 06:38, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
Request: Review article on the 13th Ephorus of HKBP
@Ckfasdf: I see that you weighed in on the deletion discussion for Bonar Napitupulu and then worked on the article, removing the numerous redlinks.
The page on J.R. Hutauruk, the 13th Ephorus of HKBP, also has a similar issue. I'm not familiar with the topic of HKBP, so don't know which red links might be appropriate to leave, if any. If you have time and the inclination, would you please copy edit J.R. Hutauruk as well? — ERcheck (talk) 14:22, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
- @ERcheck: I’ll see what I can do. I'm also not very familiar with HKBP topic and only work from whatever sources are available. Unlike Bonar Napitupulu, whose original article had usable sources to work with, the article on J.R. Hutauruk does not have usable sources. The only sources currently available does not give meaningful biographical information, and my own search didn't turn up anything beyond WordPress or blogspot, which are not acceptable as RS. Without RS, it's difficult to expand the article. Ckfasdf (talk) 15:10, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Ckfasdf - I saw those. As the WordPress page is "ENSIKLOPEDIA TOKOH BATAK", do you think it might be reliable? I've found that some places, such as Singapore's national library (medium.com), use "self-published" sites, for some official writings. Is "ENSIKLOPEDIA TOKOH BATAK" legit? — ERcheck (talk) 15:25, 16 November 2025 (UTC)

Valereee (talk) 17:20, 20 November 2025 (UTC)Sammi578's articles
Hello Ckfasdf,
I've been going through the articles on Indonesian trains created by Sammi578 (see ANI thread) and I noticed your sources exist tag on Singasari (train). No pressure if you don't have time, but are you interested in helping salvage the articles that have been draftified? (see User talk:Sammi578) I suspect most are notable, but there's a combination of insufficient sourcing and spelling/grammar issues that have forced draftification. Unfortunately, Sammi578 has never engaged on his/her talk page, which resulted in an indefinite block from mainspace. If you can identify any drafts that are salvageable, I'd be willing to help out with copyediting. It would be a shame for all these drafts to end up deleted, but they can't be in mainspace as is. Thanks for your consideration. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 22:56, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Trainsandotherthings: Hi, I agree that most of the train articles that he created are likely notable, but the sourcing is quite weak in many of them. It also looks like Sammi578 translated a lot of the content from idwiki, where sourcing standards are not as strict as on enwiki. I’ll review the drafts when I have some time. I have worked on several of his train articles before. Ckfasdf (talk) 00:45, 24 November 2025 (UTC)

- Hi, Htanaungg. Could you please clarify which sources you consider unreliable or not meeting the requirements of reliable sources? As far as I understand, only one of the five sources provided may be considered non-independent, as it is material supplied by the company itself. However, the remaining sources include coverage from national news outlets with established credibility and editorial oversight, such as Liputan 6, detik.com, and Kontan, as well as one additional source from Smart FM, a radio network with coverage in multiple cities. Ckfasdf (talk) 08:19, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- Some statements need to be verified by the sources. For example, you state that the modified train sets have been in use since 15 December 2024, but the Smart FM source that appears to support this claim does not mention that date. The references overall may be acceptable, but more inline citations are needed to verify the specific facts you are asserting. Thank you. Htanaungg (talk) 09:56, 13 December 2025 (UTC)

Why did you delete the information I provided? The information I provided came entirely from the Indonesian Air Force. ~2025-40596-78 (talk) 09:23, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- Per WP:V,
Each fact or claim in an article must be verifiable
. Information cannot be added without reliable sources. In addition, for an aircraft inventory table, we only list items as “on order” after a sales contract has been signed. Planned acquisitions, statements by the air force or government, parliamentary approval, MoU with manufacturers, or export approval alone are not sufficient.
- As of December 2025, there is only a purchase plan for the J-10, a Foreign Military Sales approval for the F-15, and the Su-35 purchase plan has been put on hold.Ckfasdf (talk) 10:04, 14 December 2025 (UTC)

Edit summaries
Hi @Ckfasdf, I noticed that one or more recent edits you made at Nyepi did not include an edit summary. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary, or by discussion on the talk page. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit and/or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. Additionally, when reverting another user's edit, it is particularly important to provide an explanation, in the spirit of courtesy and collegiality. Cheers! Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 04:14, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Revirvlkodlaku: Nowadays, I always make sure to write an edit summary. However, because I often edit using my mobile phone and the edit summary can only be added after the edit is completed, I accidentally clicked publish without filling in the edit summary on that edit. This is much less likely to happen when I edit from my laptop. Ckfasdf (talk) 06:05, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
Lucky Air KMG-CGK
Hello @Ckfasdf regarding your edit that this route is regular/scheduled and not charter in this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soekarno%E2%80%93Hatta_International_Airport, is there any supporting fact/source/article about it? Since I couldn't find any KMG-CGK vv direct flights on any booking systems. Thanks Hakuna Zar (talk) 18:12, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Hakuna Zar: First, according to the source I provided, Lucky Air flight 8L833 departed Kunming for Jakarta at 21:15 on 18 December 2025, and the report explicitly states that the Kunming–Jakarta passenger route, which had been suspended since April of the previous year, officially resumed operation. Second, flight-tracking data record consistent flight numbers for this route, namely 8L833 (Kunming–Jakarta) and 8L834 (Jakarta–Kunming). The use of fixed flight numbers in public tracking systems is typical of scheduled commercial services, whereas charter flights are usually irregular and not consistently tracked. Ckfasdf (talk) 21:21, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
- Maybe the reason you couldn't find any KMG–CGK vv direct flights on booking systems is that the route currently operates only once per week and you just picked the wrong day. Nevertheless, it is still a scheduled service rather than a charter flight. Ckfasdf (talk) 21:51, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanations. Another reason why would I ask about this flight status is because as of yesterday, I didn't find Jakarta/CGK on their list of destinations on the airline's official website (www.luckyair.net), which would normally appear on any airline's booking systems when it comes to regular flights Hakuna Zar (talk) 10:11, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
