Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Ras Fanu'el—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 19:12, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

I checked the sources used in the article in question. One is a science piece that doesn't mention the individual at all. The other source does not exist. Hence why I first proposed it for deletion but updated it once I could find a sole reference confirming his existence. Cheers. --GoldenDragonHorn (talk) 19:23, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Geledi Sultanate

I just wanted to inform you that I moved your conquest of Bardera to Sultan Yusuf page and expanded it but left the picture behind. The page looks unorganized and needs to be developed neatly and I love your work on Wikipedia. I would want your help on Hiraab Imamate page once I finish with Geledi Sultanate and you could post pictures of Mogadishu and Warsheikh. Cheers brother.WanderingGeeljire (talk) 16:37, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

@WanderingGeeljire, I think their military nature and exploits should be discussed on the main article as well, its an intregal part of their history. Also, in the Mogadishu article, could you please not copy my direct words without references, because additions like that make the article weaker without a strong scholarly foundation. Keep up the good work.--GoldenDragonHorn (talk) 18:14, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
GoldenDragonHorn Apologies I made a mistake on the sources and was in the middle of fixing but i noticed you did your edit. I agree with you on Geledi part that's why we need to start from the bottom. I will and you too!WanderingGeeljire (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 18:36, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

@GoldenDragonHorn I feel like for the title 'Geledi-Omani collaboration' on Mogadishu page seems very misleading and goes against several historical accounts that describe Geledi rule being the most prominant in Mogadishu while signalling out Omani presence as mere "nominal". I feel like that section can be expanded describing the dominant role Geledi played for Mogadishu. WanderingGeeljire (talk) 17:39, 7 November 2020 (UTC) 18:14, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

Let's keep these type of discussions on their respective talk-pages. I agree that a lot of unnecessary weight has been added to the Omani nominal claim. We can rectify that through discussing sources on the main talk-page. --GoldenDragonHorn (talk) 13:46, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

Qaraami moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Qaraami. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Cinder painter (talk) 11:58, 5 March 2025 (UTC)

If this draft is resubmitted without any improvement or with very little improvement again, it is likely to be rejected, and it may be nominated for deletion, or a topic-ban may even be requested against further submission by the responsible editor.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to the Horn of Africa (defined as including Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti, and adjoining areas if involved in related disputes), a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Please read WP:CANVASS, as I haven't edited those specific articles, it would be inappropriate to enter this dispute, on any side, without first doing thorough research on the matter. ---GoldenDragonHorn (talk) 10:36, 13 August 2025 (UTC)
