Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Adflatusstalk 06:19, 8 February 2025 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello, Notsonotoriousbig, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:32, 20 February 2025 (UTC)

Hello @Jimfbleak,
I don't work for Coco Mercado and I'm not even from Venezuela or the USA, and I fail to see how a company such as Coco Mercado differs from Uber Eats, iFood or any of those gig economy companies. I wrote the article as a mean to expand Latin American topics, and the company is big enough to have it's article here. Besides, the article uses secondary reliable sources. Can you help me to rewrite it as to fit into Wikipedia standards? Notsonotoriousbig (talk) 16:36, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
Thanks for speedy reply.
  • Your sources are interviews with the founders, not independent verifiable sources
  • it's all about what the company sells, little about the company organisation itself other than locations. To show notability you need hard verifiable facts such as the number of employees, management structure, turnover or profits. Although you gave a number of users and a claimed profit, they are just what the founder said.
  • I've seen worse, but you need proper references and more, better verified, facts Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:45, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
@Jimfbleak Thank you for your reply. I have some free time in my hands today, do you mind if I try to write about another Latin American company and send to you for reviewing? I want to learn how to write "acceptable" articles. Notsonotoriousbig (talk) 16:53, 20 February 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Venezuelan companies established in 2019

A tag has been placed on Category:Venezuelan companies established in 2019 indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 22:35, 20 February 2025 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bucket hat, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vogue. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 19:56, 25 February 2025 (UTC)

Standard cryptocurrency/blockchain notice

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

David Gerard (talk) 23:03, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

Please don't use crypto sources - we keep to solidly mainstream sourcing on crypto articles. Additionally, you really shouldn't be adding articles you claim you wrote as references, let alone edit-warring to keep them in - David Gerard (talk) 23:04, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

Non-attributed translations

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from pt:Vampetaço to Vampetaço. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:

NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Dclemens1971 (talk) 19:14, 7 April 2025 (UTC)

A Snake's Tale moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, A Snake's Tale, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Jovanmilic97 (talk) 09:33, 2 June 2025 (UTC)

Decrypt (website) moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Decrypt (website). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Cinder painter (talk) 09:51, 11 June 2025 (UTC)

Anarchism

Hi Notsonotoriousbig,

I saw your work on articles related to anarchism and wanted to say hello, as I work in the topic area too. If you haven't already, you might want to watch our noticeboard for Wikipedia's coverage of anarchism, which is a great place to ask questions, collaborate, discuss style/structure precedent, participate in edit drives, and stay informed about content related to anarchism. Take a look for yourself!

We also have a mailing list if you'd like to be notified of upcoming edit drives.

Feel free to say hi on my talk page and let me know if these links were helpful (or at least interesting). Hope to see you around. czar 02:43, 20 June 2025 (UTC)

@Czar Hello. Yes, actually I have a big interest in Anarchism, and I'll gladly help with the project! As I speak Portuguese, if you guys want somebody to expand a topic related to Latin-America, just ping me and I'll do it :) Notsonotoriousbig (talk) 11:21, 20 June 2025 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Appxplore (iCandy)

Notice

The article Appxplore (iCandy) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NCORP, WP:REFBOMB, possibly promotional in nature.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 00:50, 12 July 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for creating this biography of an influential psychiatrist, best know for his early work on group therapy in the mid-20th century. Recognition is clear through both the obituary in a national newspaper, and through other sources. It works well with the article about his son too.

Hey @~2025-31470-58, how are you doing?
I don't know much about the bureaucracy of es-Wiki, but I'll gladly help with what I can. Do you know how to reverse the blockage? Notsonotoriousbig (talk) 13:32, 5 November 2025 (UTC)
This morning I tried creating the page in the Spanish Wikipedia of the one you created in English using the translation tool (the draft: ) but the very same user that every time marks it for deletion, did so again today, even though it was now linked to the English-language Wikipedia page . Totally arbitrary and without a care. One would think that this person spends a good part of their day marking new pages for quick deletion -- it didn't even last 12 hours live on the Spanish Wikipedia before it got deleted! Sabadomingo (talk) 03:14, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
@Sabadomingo sorry for the late reply, I've been quite busy lately.
Honestly, that's why I stopped writing for Portuguese Wikipedia, and Spanish Wikipedia apparently has the same issue. The moderation seem to care more about deleting stuff they don't like than actually creating content. In my point of view, deleting articles because they are "not important enough" is really dumb and a waste of energy. If they are properly referenced, they deserve to exist.
We could possibly organize ourselves to force a discussion, though, but it depends on how the moderation is organized. On PT-Wiki in particular, the moderators are mostly friends for more than 10 years, and they have a private Telegram channel they use to communicate. Therefore, it doesn't really matter if you have real convincing arguments because they have all the tools to just do whatever they feel like. It came to a point that if I wanted to do something about it, I would have to bring the issue to Media Wiki, and honestly it is such a pain in the ass that it's just easier to write in English. Here, nobody really interferes with my researches and people actually help me out instead of trying to apply micropower. Notsonotoriousbig (talk) 17:18, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
