Hello, I'm 2600:1702:2340:3020:CDB8:7FAD:BC0F:16F5. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! 2600:1702:2340:3020:CDB8:7FAD:BC0F:16F5 (talk) 03:51, 1 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hi there!
- Understood- I'm in the process of trying to add some much needed updates for a few people and projects. I must have missed adding a citation for something. I'll try to make sure I stay on the citations better! Thank you! PannaDragon (talk) 10:46, 1 June 2025 (UTC)

Hello PannaDragon. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Matt Busch, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:PannaDragon. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=PannaDragon|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Magnolia677 (talk) 12:54, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hello! I'm so sorry that is what is coming across! I assure you, I'm just a pop culture fan and this is the first in my list of items / pages that need to be updated on a number of Wikipedia pages. There is no financial advocacy, nor have I been offered anything of the sort. I hope that helps! Thank you! PannaDragon (talk) 13:37, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
Hi PannaDragon! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Genies in popular culture and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia: it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. TompaDompa (talk) 20:17, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hi TompaDompa! Oh- that makes total sense- thank you for the clarification! I'll make sure to only note minor edits for typos, etc, from now on. Thank you! PannaDragon (talk) 10:21, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
